Work visas for visitors from Ukraine, verification of identity for purposes of payment for airline travel?

I have been communicating with a woman in Ukraine and I would like to be able to verify her identity because I want to pay for her airfare and visit to the usa to come and see me. I would like to compare information through the state department for real comparisons of doents. How is this possible?
