Canadian mechcanique estimate cost for replacing head gasquet?

relacing head gasket on a 1980 dodge 4x4 used only for plowing ,notice 3 white spark plugs but compression seems to be even? Is it worth doing or can i expect more problems valves etc. Problem allso overheat after 20 minutes.Labour in time approx?
